In hot, demanding conditions with temperatures pushing close to 30 degrees, Riverside FC once again showed their quality, depth and character with a strong 6–2 victory over a brave Umlazi All-Stars side who competed right until the final whistle.

⚽ 12’ GOAL – MIGUEL (1–0)
A big win in midfield released Vah down the wing. He beat his man and delivered a superb cross for Miguel, the 15-year-old prodigy, who arrived calmly to finish with maturity beyond his years 👏🌟
A huge moment and a clear reflection of Riverside’s commitment to youth development.

⚽ 27’ GOAL – SERGE (2–0)
From goalkeeper to goal.
Wah launched a direct pass forward and Serge cut inside and unleashed a thunderous left-footed strike into the side netting. Pure quality 🔥🎯

⚽ 34’ GOAL – SERGE (3–0)
A perfectly weighted ball over the top from Given sent Serge through again. He carried it into the box and finished with composure across the keeper. Ruthless and clinical 👌

Umlazi pulled one back in the 37th minute, making it 3–1 at the break.

Inside the opening minute of the second half, Vah was brought down just outside the box by the goalkeeper, who received a yellow card.

The ball fell to Mpendulo, who struck a sensational half-volley from outside the box into the net. A top-class finish 💥👏

Umlazi showed fight and pulled another goal back to make it 4–2, but Riverside never lost control.

⚽ 71’ GOAL – SERGE (HAT-TRICK | 5–2)
The moment everyone was waiting for.
Serge found space out wide, cut inside at the top of the box and curled a beautiful effort into the top corner. A sensational strike to complete his hat-trick and underline his red-hot form 🔥🎩⚽

⚽ 82’ GOAL – BAYANDA (6–2)
Brilliant combination play between Vah and Serge opened the defence, and Bayanda arrived at the back post to tap home.
Another youth product on the scoresheet — further proof that Riverside is building for now and for the future ✅💙💛
